These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are entered into between le Parapluie de Cherbourg and any non-commercial individual wishing to make a purchase via the website. Le Parapluie de Cherbourg reserves the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time; however, modifications will not apply to transactions in progress at the time they come into effect.

Your order is binding upon receipt on our server, along with payment. Acceptance of the order requires that you are clearly identified by carefully completing the online order form.
Prices are shown in Euros, inclusive of all taxes, and include VAT applicable on the date of your order. Prices are subject to change at any time. You will be informed of the price to be paid when you place your order, and you agree to pay the total amount plus shipping costs in advance at the time of submission.
In accordance with Article L.121.16 of the French Consumer Code, you have the right to return the items ordered. All products are eligible for a refund except those excluded by law, for example, products that have been personalized at your request (embroidery of initials).
You have 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of your package to return the order. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on your request, an exchange or refund will be processed. However, the products must not have been used or damaged and must be returned intact in their original packaging with all accessories, warranty information, and other documentation.

Depending on where you live, the time it takes to receive your exchanged product may vary.
If you are shipping an item worth over €100, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
By Credit Card: When validating your order, you will need to provide your credit card number, its expiry date, and its security code. To ensure secure payments, le Parapluie de Cherbourg uses the secure payment service of a CIC partner. This service incorporates the SSL 3.0 security standard. (Confidential data is encrypted on the server and is never transmitted to Le Parapluie de Cherbourg's computer server). Your payment request is routed in real time to the secure CIC online payment processor, which performs various checks to prevent misuse and fraud.
Via PayPal: you will be automatically redirected to their PayPal account. Once the PayPal payment is validated, you can complete your order on the website.

In accordance with the law of March 13, 2000, on electronic signatures, the online transmission of your card number and the final validation of your order constitute proof of the entire order and the obligation to pay the amounts due for this request. These actions are equivalent to a signature and signify, by touch, the customer's acceptance.
For each order, you are asked to contribute a flat fee towards the order processing costs (shipping, packaging, preparation of the parcel) which is communicated in the “Shopping Cart” stage when placing the order online.
Product delivery can be carried out:
For deliveries to Metropolitan France, Monaco and within the French Overseas Departments and Territorial Collectivities (DOM and overseas territories), the delivery time is 48 hours (2 working days)
For shipments to overseas territories, the estimated delivery time is 5 to 7 days depending on the destination. For international shipments, the estimated delivery time is 4 to 8 days depending on the destination.

If the package is not collected from the post office, it will be held for 10 days. After this period, it will be returned to the Cherbourg Umbrella Factory.
If, despite our precautions, one of your items arrives damaged upon delivery, simply let us know.
The information provided allows us to process customer orders. In accordance with the terms of law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, relating to information technology, data files and civil liberties, customers have the right to access, consult, modify, rectify and delete the information provided.
