The Cherbourg Umbrella Factory and the French Navy have collaborated to create this navy blue umbrella. For this model, the choice of color is natural and self-evident. We call it navy blue because it has always been the color of sailor uniforms. In addition to its symbolism, this deep and timeless color offers a striking contrast with the white of the marine anchor. It highlights the logo and embodies the meaning of our collaboration in the design of the blue umbrella. This color combination perfectly matches the raw, natural wood of the handle, a wood reminiscent of the hulls of sailboats, both authentic and contemporary. The ring stamped with our coat of arms brings a sober and elegant finish to this high-end umbrella.
To design an umbrella bearing the image of the French Navy, it was necessary to give it unparalleled resistance, similar to their dedication and courage. Thus, our navy blue folding umbrella, entirely made for and by France, is capable of withstanding winds of up to 100 km/h, as tested in a wind tunnel. Its steel shaft and ribs ensure incomparable robustness, while its straight handle in Jura hornbeam, decorated with a stamped ring and chrome finishes, gives it a sober elegance.
