The Cherbourg Umbrella Manufacture and the French Navy created, in collaboration, this model of navy blue umbrella. For this model, the choice of color is natural and is essential. We call it navy blue because it has always been the color of sailor uniforms. In addition to its symbolism, this deep and timeless color offers a striking contrast with the white of the sea anchor. It highlights the logo and ink the meaning of our collaboration in the design of the blue umbrella. This combination of colors is perfectly suited with the raw and natural wood of the handle, wood which recalls the material of the shells of sailboats that are both authentic and contemporary. The ring stamped like our coat of arms brings sober and elegant finishes to this high -end umbrella.
To design an umbrella in the image of the French Navy, it was necessary to give it an outstanding resistance, similar to their dedication and their courage. Thus, our navy blue folding umbrella, entirely made for and by France, is capable of facing winds up to 100 km/h, as tested in a blower.
